Introduction to Nonviolent Communication
Learn Empathic Communication according to Marshall Rosenberg
Making the world better.
One conversation at a time.
Do you long for genuine conversations,
clear understanding and fulfilling relationships –
in everyday life, at work, in your team?
Nonviolent Communication helps you stay clear in everyday life and in important moments – with yourself and in contact with others.
You understand yourself and others better, can express yourself more constructively, authentically stand up for yourself and at the same time communicate in an empathic and understanding way.
What You Say Next
Will Change Your World.

For everyone who wants deeper connection.
In everyday life, at work, in your team
Perhaps you've already heard of Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
Perhaps you've read a book or watched a video.
And perhaps you've noticed: In everyday life, things often go differently.
And yet in everyday life you sometimes find yourself:
speechless, irritated or with a guilty conscience.
My modular NVC introduction series
Say What You REALLY Mean,
helps you start exactly there.
In the modules you'll learn:
- To create clarity instead of interpretations and drama
- To live connection instead of withdrawal, judgments and misunderstandings
- To show vulnerability and trust – without fear of being hurt
Each module offers:
- Short theory inputs
- Exercises in small groups
- Space for reflection & individual work
How it works
Five modules of 4 hours each – bookable individually or as a series.
You decide where to start.
The modules at a glance
The Power of Labels
Discover the inner judge (Observation)
Module 1
Do you notice how quickly you judge? Do you feel that this makes understanding difficult? Together we explore how to look at these moments with curiosity – and find observations that connect.
Understanding Feelings
Feel into yourself and into others (Feelings)
Module 2
In this module we refine our feelings vocabulary, distinguish between thoughts and feelings – and perceive that feelings are essentially signposts to our needs.
Recognizing Needs
Everything we do is an attempt to meet needs (Needs)
Module 3
We practice how to clearly perceive these needs – and transform conflicts into opportunities. In this module we focus on distinguishing universal needs from strategies (the ways to meet them).
Courageous Requests
Stand up for yourself without "running over" others (Request)
Module 4
In Module 4 we try out three different types of requests and practice formulating them so they are heard, understood and welcomed.
A Dance with Four Steps
Integration & exercises for everyday life (Final module)
Module 5
In this module we bring everything together and dance the four steps in three variations: self-empathy, empathic listening and authentic self-expression.
For whom?
For everyone who:
- wants to create genuine connection in family, partnership or work
- wants to communicate more openly and clearly
- wants to resolve conflicts constructively

Über mich – Gewaltfreie Kommunikation und empathische Führung
In 2013 my journey with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) began. Freshly separated, mother of a three-year-old son, I read the book "Cessez d'être gentil, soyez vrai!" (Stop Being Nice, Be Real!) by Thomas d'Ansembourg on vacation in the South of France.
